Just wondering how come the Member of the Month hasn't happened since November?

I don't miss it either, I was never clear on the criteria for winning it, kept me from voting, and I think quite a few people kept repetitively winning it, but they are pretty helpful people though.
I know I never won it...sob....(hand on forehead)....sigh...don't worry about me....I'll live....(and end scene).![]()

We haven't done it because the board slowed down and we weren't getting much participation in the voting.
The criteria were semi-vague, but generally defined as "the person that contributed the most to the board" in that month. Meaning quality answers to posts, being helpful, writing good articles... nothing to do with amount of posts.
Also - previous winners were always excluded from winning again in the same year, so there should not have been any repeat winners.

It is good to see the misconceptions that people have had about it though, so if/when we reinstate the contest we can make sure it is more clear.
I didn't realize people had a problem with the contest as it was done before. I always assumed people saw it as the staff intended: A way to recognize people that are helping to make the board a better place by giving them an award and a t-shirt.

whoa whoa whoa, there is a T-Shirt involved?

And there have not been multiple time winners, but multiple time NOMINEES. that is where peole are getting confused.
And the T shirt is free![]()
I don't give a damn what you think about me, Now what do you think about that
Here's to the Old School, didn't matter if you looked cool
