View Full Version : Site asked me to say Hi. so this is it
Hey everyone, i keep getting a message to introduce myself so thought I would. I have been around for a while but normally just stop in now and then after the transition to the current site. A little background... I my fitness training is mainly for my martial arts which I have practiced for a little over a decade now. I am certified by the Cooper Institute and in my free time I volunteer for the red cross and as a medic for the town ambulance corp. Any questions feel free to ask. Also on the old site I think my username was silver or silverfang and used to mainly post in the medical and trainer areas

Once upon a time I did Tae Kwan Do, but I was forced to give it up. Since then I've done some sparring with some friends who are/were interested in MMA and such. I held my own, but the last time was a weird matchup, I was giving up ~7 inches in height, but my friend gave up about 25-30lbs in weight... neither one of us could get a punch in, and when he took me too the ground, he couldn't lock in any holds or I just threw him off me... Last time he went for a double leg take down he wound up about 6 feet behind me on he back wondering what the hell happened .
Nice, I tried TKD with a friend of mine, Karate is more my style. also you just reminded me of my wrestling days never quite learned the technique but shear power made up for it .
