When is the best time to eat bananas? I've been craving them lately. So far I've only eaten them in the AM (small banana). Are they good to have as a pre or PWO carb? Should I only eat them in the AM and avoid them at night? I feel like I can eat these for every meal...with almond butter! YummY!

As part of your post-workout meal is another time as a banana helps replace potassium.

Bananas are good early in the morning, pre workout or post workout.

I like them first thing in am. Fructose isn't ithe most ideal sugar deal post workout but if you aren't in cut it doesnt matter. enjoy them! They good food. :)

Hehe, I eat them all day long :) but usual pre or post workout...or in the morning. As stated early, they're a great source of potassium.
I'll have to make you a loaf of my no sugar added whole wheat banana bread.

Oh Kat that would be awesome! I love banana bread but haven't had any in a long time...ever since Atkins stopped making their bread mix.
I'm so glad to hear there are lots of times I can eat a banana! This craving is weird for me...I don't normally crave bananas. I've been worried about the sugar/carb content which is why I haven't been eating them everyday and hemming and hawing over when it was ok to eat them.
Jody, I don't do a PWO sugar/shake anymore. I just come home and eat a good protein/complex carb meal. Maybe I can sneak a 'naner in there?
Thanks all!

I eat 1-2/day typically whenever I feel like it. This is mostly in the morning and after work.

If you are not cutting.. Pre WO and post WO are awesome. Nature does food right. Eat them!! Carbs are not the devil! They are helpful for buidling muscle and keeping the body running at top speeds! don't hem don't haw EAT!

Well you said that you don't do a pwo drink(s) anymore... but keep in mind that fructose is primarily shuttled to replace liver glycogen and not muscle glycogen, so there are probably better pwo carb choices... But I like my bananas in cheerios like kajed... I don't have any better carb sources at my college lol...

eat bananas when you feel like having a banana. Unless you are a professional cosmetic athlete, or aspiring to be one, I can't fathom the horrific downisides of having a banana at the "wrong" time.

Is she losing weight? If so, then it is fine ;)
Chances are - it won't make that much of a difference if everything else is in place properly.
