I read this article in the Bulletin today (Bend's newspaper). It's a quick rundown on what to look for and what not to look for when dining out.

Mexico - So consistently high in fat and calories, it's hard to find a healthy option on U.S. menus.
Best Choice - Chicken Fajitas
Worst Choice - Chimichanga

Italy - Pasta dishes with vegetables cut fat content, but portion sizes are often too large.
Best Choice - Pasta Primavera
Worst Choice - VEal Parmesan

Greece - The model for healthy eating, with plenty of good fats, but several favorites buck the trend.
Best Choice - Chicken souvlaki
Worst Choice - Gyro

India - Relies heavily on whole grains, but calories can add up through sheer volume.
Best Choice - Tandoori Chicken
Worst Choice - Lamb Karma

Thailand - Plenty of vegetables and delicious soups, but be wary of the fried noodles.
Best Choice - Hot and sour shrimp soup
Worst Choice - Pad thai with chicken

China - Can be low in saturated fat and offers plenty of vegetables, but sodium and calorie counts are sky high.
Best Choice - Stir-fry chicken and vegetables
Worst Choice - General Tso's chicken

Japan - Lots of healthy seafood and vegetables but it's easy to overeat.
Best Choice - Vegetable sushi rolls
Worst Choice - Tempura shrimp

Me too! I just moved into my new house and I have been off the eating/lifting wagon for four days and it's driving me insane having to eat out so often lately.

Which one? I've been there, done that. O'Hara's had cracked crab legs. I walked out and passed out on Ceaser's Palaces lawn for 2 hours.

I'm not sure which one it was, but have not stepped foot in a buffet since then.
