So I worked out at the base gym the other day and had a good workout. As I was showering, I began to talk with God and do my whining that I usually do. I was all, “Lord, why do I have to go through the things that I’m going through right now. I am feeling so overwhelmed I just can’t take it, can you please just remove some of these trials that I’m going through.”
Then I felt the Lord say, “Lou, Lou, Lou… I’ve got some questions for you son. Where were Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego when I came to help them?” Well they were in the furnace Lord, with the temperature turned up 7x’s hotter than usual.
Where was Daniel when I sent my angel to help him out? Well, Lord he was in the lions den already.
And Lou, where was my good friend Lazarus when I came to help him? Wow, Lord, he was already dead when you came to him.
He said, “Exactly! I don’t care what situation you are in, it is NEVER too late for me to help you out. I don’t care if you are feeling the flames of life burning you up and I don’t care if you are in the midst of a savage hungry lion, it might even seem like your life is done and over with, it is NEVER too late for me to help you. You are never too deep in trouble or sin for me to help you out, son.
I actually started crying in the shower. So anyways, I just wanted to encourage you. Whatever you are going through, whatever is happening to you, ALWAYS trust God. He won’t let you down. He’ll always come through, even when it seems like it’s too late.
