i'm watching it RIGHT NOW! on the west coast! I LOVE IT! it makes me want to do it! Fury was a polevaulter and is a figure competitor, then you have tanji, beth horn, val all figure/fitness women! It makes me excited! :lol: me = dork

That Wolf guy was hillarious...I also noticed that Hulk Hogan (the host) still had his wedding band on....interesting....

The taunting was well done, and some of the events seemed harder-hitting. I was amazed Hogan was still in the shape he is. I like the new gauntlet, and the music when someone goes into the water....that was classic! The final challenge is cool too...the new water obstacles, and the barrel roll was cool.


Really, the only thing that bothered me was the fat referee....they should have one who is in shape. I mean some of the NFL ref's look like bodybuilders, you would think a "fitness" show could find one.

I agree...those "cocky commentary" parts were worthless. However, pretty funny when they would pump themselves up and then fail miserably at the event. I TOTALLY WANT TO COMPETE ON THAT SHOW!

The girl that was a doctor was annoying - she mentioned she was a doctor 5 or 6 times for no apparent reason!

It's on NBC. 8pm eastern, 7 central on Monday nights. Last night was a special viewing for the premier.

I tried out to be a contestant. I did well on the physical aspect. I thought I was pretty charismatic in the interview but i don't think i had enough of a "story". My trainer/ bfriend tiftastic tried out too. she's new here on fb.net and shes a semi pro soccer player and kicked ass in the physical tests too. i guess we are just vanilla. ;)

Maybe you did TOO well and they KNEW you'd kick all the gladiator's asses and they couldn't have that so they had to pass over you. That's the only explanation! I was approached on Venice to be on that game show Street Smarts, where they ask folks on the street random questions and most people are stupid and get the questions wrong? Well they asked me all the questions and I got them all right, and they said thanks but no thanks!

Maybe you can try out for next season and they'll want women like you two for stiffer competition for the gladiators!
