What body part do you feel has taken the most "toll" on yourself by training thus far?

Mine, obviously has been lower back. However post surgery I have been very good, infact even stronger but really have to watch it.

How about you?

No doubt, I'm 32 but my knees feel like they are 50 some days... sux.

BTW: I was just messin' when I asked if we even had anyone over 30 here :) I'm in the "club" myself.

Knees and shoulders will be 2nd...

a herniated disk in my lower back is a direct result of bent over rows..

bad rotator would be second.. and arthritic knees a close third

Left ankle and right shoulder....ankle was from a motorcycle wreck and my shoulder was separated a few years ago chasing a car burglar. Weather change makes more and more of a difference the older I get.

I won't complain again. all you people are old and beat up...

My pains are in my left shoulder. Unknown why and it seems only a MRI will truely tell but I figure I will live with it rather then getting any surgery anyway.

Buldging disk in my lower back, which is actually kinda cool. It only flares when I stop working out and I find myself crawling around the house because its too painful to stand. The makes me think "I need to get my ass back into the gym" So its a good thing.

2 deteriated discs in lower back make it difficult (not impossible) to work lower half where i need to tone the most.......but I continue to say "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and try to do my best.......

I've had surgical repairs on both of my shoulders... first one was in 1999 and recovery was easy... second one was in 2005 and recovery was not quite as easy! Sucks not healing as fast...
I also have a bad left AC joint (shoulder) that will eventually need surgery because the joint is bone on bone.
Left knee has been giving me trouble off and on for years now - I'm hesitant to get it checked out.
Right wrist has a fun issue where the ulnar styloid is too long - and impacts the carpal bones if I am not careful with pressing exercises. When that flares up it is REALLY difficult to do anything with my right hand. (that is why I wear wrist wraps on all pressing or curling movements).

I had both my lower discs shaved and the pressure removed in 2001. Can I help you in anyway? Stretching and massage nursed me back to health until I could begin a short course in yoga and pilates, than I graduated back to weights. Sorry to hear. Keep the faith though...For we know we have a "Mighty Healer" and He can heal and restore ANYTHING. I shall pray for your physical healing.:)

Years of playing volleyball I believe has done more damage than weights. I played last night in my league and my back hurt tremendously. But as the setter you've got a lot of moving to do.

I have snap-crackle-popped for as long as I can remember now....back to my early twenties. Can bad joints be inherited?

Right elbow is sore as of late, my left shoulder was hurty once in a while I hit the delts and that seems to have taken care of it. Right knee was sore, worked it and it's gotten better.
My back used to get sore, but I trained the abs more with some weight, so that's ok, and the rolls an back bumps seem to pop the back as well.

My years of swimming placed a toll on my shoulders, which are "loose" and lock out fairly easily which can really suck on a military press movement...lol If I don't have a spotter I lean over and have to drop the weight....

My back is jacked from a car accident. I will have survery eventually, but I am waiting. I have 1 disc completely gone, and 2 fully herniated.
